Hello,

In-order to access files on another computer you have to make sure that the folder which contains them are shared and visible across your network.

For Windows XP a good Knowledge Base Article can be viewed by clicking the link below:

<a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">How to use the Simple File Sharing feature to share files in Windows XP</a>

In-order to connect via the internet you would need to be able to create a VPN between your iPad and you home network. The configuration of this would depend on many factors and may required the opening and re-directing of ports on your router (or other device) which you use to connect to the internet.

As a sever product I think Microsoft's idea was to keep interface overheads to a minimum and concentrate on back-end service performance.

Any chance this allows Aero on RemoteApps? I've read a bit about RemoteFX, but while it allows for hope, there's no clear info.

Why? Because Windows Home Server 2 (Vail) looks absolutely displaced when on the new console, thanks for not having aero on any window.

Yes, this really bothers me. The new Home Server is about better integration. Not having Aero Glass is not having a good integration, imho.

Some of the functionality reminds me of the way Mac OS X displays items in the dock and finder.
